Terms of use
These terms apply to anyone using medyc.io or the Medyc apps (iOS, Android and web). Bookings and purchases are also governed by the terms of sale.

1. Purpose
Medyc is a healthcare platform for seeing a doctor by video or at a partner clinic, requesting care and sample collection at home, getting medicines delivered and following health programmes, in Djibouti and Ethiopia.
2. Not an emergency service
Medyc is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 119 (SMUR) or 18 (fire and rescue) in Djibouti, 907 in Addis Ababa, or go to the nearest emergency department.
3. Account
Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your login details confidential. You may add a relative as a beneficiary when you are entitled to: parent of a minor, legal representative or person who has given their consent.
The services are intended for adults; a minor uses them through a parent or legal representative.
4. Health information
Guides and site content are for information; they do not replace a consultation. Only a healthcare professional can diagnose or prescribe. Pages reviewed by the medical team say so and show their update date.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use another person’s account or data without their consent;
- submit false information or forged documents;
- disrupt the site or try to access data not meant for you;
- be abusive towards clinicians or the team.
6. Availability
We work to keep the site and apps available but cannot guarantee it at all times. Interruptions may occur for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control.
7. Third-party services
The site links to third-party services (App Store, Google Play, WhatsApp, Intercom chat, press sites). Their use is governed by their own terms.
8. Personal data
How we handle your data is described in the privacy policy and, for trackers, in the cookie policy.
9. Suspension and closure
You can close your account at any time by writing to hello@medyc.io. We may suspend an account used against these terms, after informing you except in urgent cases.
