What should you prepare before the call?
- Booking
- In the Medyc app, in your browser or on WhatsApp; the doctor, time and price are confirmed first.
- Phone
- Charged, camera and microphone allowed, in a quiet, well-lit room.
- Your notes
- Your symptoms, how long they have lasted, your questions.
- Within reach
- Medicine boxes, prescriptions, recent test results.
- A relative
- They can join the call if the patient agrees.
How does the call go?
At the booked time, the doctor sees you by video. They ask what brings you, since when, and which medicines you take.
Show the camera what worries you: a wound, a rash, a medicine box. Write down the diagnosis, the treatment and the signs that mean you should call back.
What happens afterwards?
If the doctor writes a prescription, it is saved in your Medyc space. A pharmacy then prepares the medicines, for pick-up or delivery.
If you need examining, the doctor explains the next step: a doctor’s home visit (from 5,000 DJF), a sample taken at home for lab tests, or an appointment at a partner clinic (from 6,000 DJF).
What can video settle, and what needs an in-person visit?
The doctor tells you whether video is enough. In an emergency, skip the video call: dial 119 in Djibouti, 907 in Addis Ababa.

It is recommended: you book there and find your prescription there. No smartphone? Use your browser, or ask the team to set up the call.
Can the doctor write a prescription by video?
Yes, if they consider it necessary after the consultation. It is saved in your Medyc space, and a pharmacy can prepare the medicines.
Can I have a video consultation from abroad?
Yes: the doctors consult from Djibouti, and the call works by video wherever you are.
